Jackson Davis, Jennifer LeBlanc, Howard Swain Set for TheatreWorks’ 33 Variations

TheatreWorks is set to present the regional premiere of Moisés Kaufman’s 33 Variations, October 3-28 at Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. Founding artistic director Robert Kelley will direct, with musical direction by William Liberatore.

33 Variations follows musicologist Dr. Katherine Brandt in her quest to solve one of Beethoven’s greatest mysteries, while her daughter struggles to connect with her.

The cast will feature Rosina Reynolds (Dr. Katherine Brandt), Howard Swain (Beethoven), Chad Deverman (Mike Clark), Jennifer LeBlanc (Clara Brandt), Jackson Davis (Anton Schindler), Marie Shell (Dr. Gertrude Ladenburger), and Michael Gene Sullivan (Anton Diabelli).

The design team will include Andrea Bechert (set design), Fumiko Bielefeldt (costume design), Steven B. Mannshardt (lighting design), and Brendan Aanes (sound design).
