Producers Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender have announced that Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will make its West Coast premiere at San Franciso's Curran in fall 2019. This will be the fourth engagement of the hit play after its currently ongoing London and New York productions and an Australian production set to premiere in Melbourne in early 2019.

Information on performance dates, casting, and more will be announced in the coming months.

Based on an original story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a new play written by Thorne and directed by Tiffany. The production is one play presented in two parts. Both parts are intended to be seen in order on the same day (matinee and evening) or on two consecutive evenings. The production received its world premiere in July 2016 at the Palace Theatre in London, where it continues to play to sold-out houses. It opened on Broadway April 22 and received six 2018 Tony Awards.
