Bill Maher Set for New Year’s Concerts in Bay Area

Comedian, political commentator, and former Broadway star Bill Maher will perform two special Bay Area concerts on New Year’s Eve at the Marin Center in San Rafael and on New Year’s Day at the Lincoln Theater Napa.

Maher is best known for his sharp political satire and sociopolitical commentary, as seen in such television shows as Politically Incorrect (which first aired on Comedy Central before moving to ABC), and HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher. The comedian’s humor has garnered him 21 Emmy nominations. In 2003, he starred on Broadway in the solo show, Bill Maher: Victory Begins at Home.
