Berkeley Rep’s Tony Taccone to Receive Ohio State University’s Margo Jones Award

Berkeley Repertory Theatre artistic director Tony Taccone has been selected to receive the Margo Jones Award, bestowed annually by the Ohio State University Libraries and OSU Arts and Humanities.
The award, which will be presented on October 12 at Berkeley Rep, recognizes an individual who has demonstrated a significant impact, understanding, and affirmation of the craft of playwriting and who has encouraged the living theater everywhere.
Taccone has served as artistic director of Berkeley Rep since 1997, and previously served six years as artistic director of San Francisco’s Eureka Theatre, where he commissioned Tony Kushner’s Angels in America.
