Tony Award winner B.D. Wong will make a special appearance at the February 20 matinee performance of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Fiorello!, presented by the San Francisco Arts Education Project’s musical theater company, SFArtsED Players, at the Eureka Theatre. Danny Duncan will direct the production, which is presented in collaboration with the School of the Arts High School Technical Theater program and Theatre Rhinoceros.

Featuring a book by Jerome Weidman and George Abbott, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and music by Jerry Bock, the musical follows the life of New York City mayor Fiorello H. LaGuardia during World War I and ten years later. Wong will be on hand to welcome the audience to the show and answer questions prior to the performance.

The actor won a Tony Award for his performance in David Henry Hwang’s M. Butterfly. His other Broadway credits include Pacific Overtures, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and Face Value. His film credits include Jurassic Park and Father of the Bride. He may be best known for playing Dr. George Huang on NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

The production team will also include Diana Lee (musical director and conductor), Robert Cowan and Ben Keim (vocal directors), and Natalie Greene, Katie Kerwin and Emily Keeler (choreographers).
