American Conservatory Theater will host its 2018 season gala, honoring Carey Perloff and her 25-year tenure as artistic director, on Saturday, April 7, at San Francisco’s Four Seasons Hotel. Proceeds from the gala support A.C.T.’s professional training and education and community programs reaching more than 20,000 Bay Area-based recipients each year.

"We are thrilled to honor Carey Perloff’s extraordinary 25 years as artistic director of A.C.T.," said gala cochairs Prisca Geeslin and Nancy Livingston. "We look forward to celebrating her many accomplishments with an evening of special performances and tributes, all while raising necessary funds to support and sustain A.C.T.’s actor training and education and community programs."

In March 2017, Perloff announced that she would step down from her role as artistic director at the end of the 2017-18 season to pursue her career as a director, playwright, and book author.

The gala committee, led by Geeslin and Livingston, additionally includes Jo S. Hurley, Alan Jones, Adriana López Vermut, Fred Levin, Jamie Martin, Michael P. Nguyen, Robina Riccitiello, Patti Rueff, Kirke and Nancy Sawyer Hasson, Abby Sadin Schnair, Cherie Sorokin, and Kay Yun.
