Teal Wicks will join the previously reported stars Deborah Cox and Constantine Maroulis in the Broadway-bound revival of Jekyll & Hyde when the show launches its 25-week national tour at the San Diego Civic Theater on October 2, 2012.

Wicks is currently starring as Julie Jordan in Goodspeed Musicals’ production of Carousel. As recently reported, her role will be taken over by Erin Davie on August 8, allowing Wicks to perform in Jekyll & Hyde.

Conceived for the stage by Frank Wildhorn and Steve Cuden, the musical features a book & lyrics by Leslie Bricusse, music by Wildhorn, and will be directed and choreographed by Jeff Calhoun.

The show is based on the acclaimed novella The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson, about a London doctor who accidentally unleashes his evil alternate personality in his quest to cure his father’s mental illness. Maroulis plays the dual role of Dr. Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde, while Cox will play Lucy. Wicks’ role has not yet been disclosed.
