Wilma Theater Announces Cast, Creative Team for Scorched

The Wilma Theater has announced cast and creative team information for its production of Scorched, set to run February 25-March 29, with an opening on March 4. Blanka Zizka will direct.

Wajdi Mouawad’s play follows the return of twins to their late mother’s Middle Eastern homeland, devastated by a civil conflict. The cast will feature Jolly Abraham as Sawda, Jacqueline Antaramian as Nawal (40 – 45 years old), Aadya Bedi as Nawal (16 – 19 years old), Janis Dardaris as Nawal (60 – 65 years old), Leila Buck as Janine, Omar Koury as The Man/Antoine, Benjamin Lloyd as Alphonse Lebel, J. Paul Nicholas as Nihad/Ralph, and Ariel Shafir as Simon/Wahab.

The creative team will include Oana Botez-Ban (costume design), Jorge Cousineau (sound design), Amir ElSaffar (composer), Ola Maslik (set design), and Thom Weaver (lighting design).
