Will Thompson to Replace Jihad "Jay" Milhem in Allison Moore’s Hazard County

Recent University of the Arts grad Will Thompson will take over the role of Blake in Azuka Theatre’s production of Allison Moore’s Hazard County, June 20-July 1, when the play opens on June 20 at the Off-Broad Street Theater at First Baptist Church.

In Hazard County, a young producer stumbles into town looking for stories and a fresh start; he believes he’s found both in Ruth. But neither of them has told the other the whole truth, and a past tainted by racism threatens to destroy Ruth’s already shaky existence.

Thompson takes over the role of Blake from Jihad “Jay” Milhem, who had to leave the show after a serious injury left him unable to finish the run. The cast also features Brandi Burgess (Ruth), Julia King (Camille), Brian Ratcliffe (Quinn), and Bailey Shaw (Quintin).

The design team will include Evan Leigh (set design), Chris Hallenbeck (lighting design), Jamie Grace-Duff (costume design), and Daniel Kontz (sound design).
