Philadelphia's Walnut Street Theatre began performances of David Mamet's A Life in the Theatre last evening at the Independence Studio on 3.

The behind-the-scenes comedy follows two actors — Robert (Bill Van Horn), a stage veteran, and John (Davy Raphaely), a young, promising performer. Their relationship develops as the theatrical torch is passed from one generation to the next.

Directed by Van Horn, the production will celebrate its official opening January 15 and run through February 1.
