Arden Theatre Set to Begin The Legend of Georgia McBride

The Legend of Georgia McBride beging performances tonight at Arden Theatre Company.

In Matthew Lopez's play, Casey is a young, broke Elvis impersonator who is losing his job and just found out his wife is expecting their first child. When his club brings in a drag act led by the incomparable Miss Tracy Mills, Casey is given the opportunity to trade one sequined outfit for another. This music-filled comedy celebrates finding your voice and singing your own song.

Philadelphia actor Dito van Reigersberg, known for his drag alter ego, Martha Graham Cracker, leads the cast as drag queen Miss Tracy Mills. He is joined by Matteo Scammell, Mikeah Ernest Jennings, Stephanee Martin, and Damien Wallace. Emmanuelle Delpech directs.

The creative team includes Jorge Cousineau (scenic and sound design), Olivera Gajic (costume design), and Maria Shaplin (lighting design.)

Performances run through November 27.
