Ben Dibble, Jessica Rush, Paul Schoeffler to Star in Walnut’s Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Ben Dibble, Jessica Rush, and Paul Schoeffler will star as Freddie Benson, Christine Colgate, and Lawrence Jameson, respectively, in the Walnut Street Theatre production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, September 8-October 25, with an opening set for September 16. Barrymore Award-winner Richard Stafford will direct and choreograph.

Based on the 1988 film of the same name, the musical features a book by Jeffrey Lane, with music and lyrics of David Yazbek. It tells the story of two suave and shameless con-men on the French Riviera who make a winner-take-all wager over the fortunes of a naïve American soap heiress.

The principal cast will also include Mary Martello (Muriel), Maggie Anderson (Jolene), and Fran Prisco (André Thibault). The ensemble will include Alan Bennett, Anne Connors, Bree Branker, Dan Dunn, Jenny Florkowski, Joe Jackson, Stanley Martin, Amanda Paulson Kerri Rose, Jonathan Stahl, Ryan James Stauffer, Emily Tyra, and Mollie Marie Walsh.

Douglass G. Lutz will serve as music and vocal director, with the creative team also including Robert Andrew Kovach (set), Paul Black (lighting), Colleen Grady (costumes), and Nick Kourtides (sound).
