2009 Wilma Theater Gala to Honor Peggy Greenawalt, Blanka and Jiri Zizka

The Wilma Theater is set to honor board chair Peggy Greenawalt and celebrate co-artistic directors Blanka and Jiri Zizka at the company’s 2009 Gala, to take place on Friday, May 1 beginning at 6:30 pm.

The event will kick off at the theater with a cocktail hour, a performance, and presentation of the Wilma Star Award to Greenawalt in recognition of her eight years of service to the Board of Directors. The party will continue next door in the DoubleTree Hotel’s Ormandy Ballroom with a stationed dinner, silent auction, and music spun by a local guest DJ.

Blanka and Jiri Zizka founded the Wilma Theater after immigrating to the United States from Czechoslovakia because their theater was closed down by the government.
