American Idol runner-up Justin Guarini will star in the upcoming production of Stephen Sondheim's marital musical Company at Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Running from May 29-June 21, Guarini will take on the role of Bobby, the commitment-phobic 35-year-old whose friends want nothing more than to see him settle down. The show, which made its Broadway debut in 1970, features music and lyrics by Sondheim and a book by George Furth.

"Justin immediately came to mind as soon as we entertained the idea of bringing Company to stage at BCP," said producing director Alexander Fraser. Executive producer Robyn Goodman added, "We are thrilled to have Justin back home at the Playhouse, in a role that is a perfect fit for his extraordinary talent."

After placing second in the inaugural season of American Idol, Guarini went on to become a Broadway regular, performing in a number of productions including Wicked, American Idiot, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, and Romeo and Juliet. He currently stars in the Encores! production of Paint Your Wagon at New York City Center, which plays its final performance this Sunday, March 22.
