Anna Deveare Smith, David Leddy, Philippe Quesne, et al. Set for Wexner Center’s 2010-2011 Season

The Wexner Center for the Arts has announced its schedule for the 2010-2011 season, which will include an appearance by Anna Deveare Smith in her solo show that looks at health care in America, Let Me Down Easy (February 22-27).

Among the other theater highlights in the coming year are David Leddy’s site-specific audio play Susurrus (October 14-24); the Rude Mechanicals’ exploration of acting guru Stella Burden’s legacy The Method Gun (October 21-24); and Philippe Quesne in the Obie Award-winning L’Effet de Serge (February 3-6).

The center will offer dance events during 2010-2011, including les ballets C de la B’s Out of Context–for Pina (October 8) and Faye Driscoll’s 837 Venice Boulevard (November 18-20). Music at the venue will include a performance by the Steve Lehman Octet (October 31), as well as the Next @ Wex series, which focuses on indie musicians. In addition, the Wexner’s film series will include several events that will be part of the 2010 Festival of Cartoon Art, including appearances by Matt Groening (October 16) and Art Spiegelman (October 17).
