All-Female Julius Caesar to Run This Summer in New York City

The production will be set at an all-girls high school.

Pocket Universe will present a new, all-female production of William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar this summer at the Access Theater Gallery Space. Running June 21-July 8, the production opens June 23.

Conceived by Alyssa May Gold and directed by Katie Young​, the production will be set at an all-girls high school. Six young women will play all roles in this coming-of-age story that follows a group of teenagers through their first tastes of power, the desire to seize it, and the life and death battle to keep it.

Pocket Universe is a New York City-based theater and film production company dedicated to reconsidering and reimagining classic stories and conventions.
