William Donnelly's No Wake to Receive New York Premiere at 59E59

This will be the Massachusetts-based playwright’s first work produced in New York City.

59E59 Theaters announced that it will host the New York premiere of William Donnelly's No Wake September 28-October 15, with opening night set for October 4. It will be the Massachusetts-based playwright's first work produced in New York.

Directed by Veronica Brady, the cast will feature Tim Ransom, Tricia Small, and Stef Tovar. The creative team will include Tom Buderwitz (scenic design), Brian Tovar (lighting design), Michael Mullen (costume design), and Lindsay Jones (composer and sound design).

Donnelly's play, which had its world premiere at the Berkshire Theater Festival in 2010, is described as follows: "Many years after a contentious divorce, Edward and Rebecca have moved on — she with a new husband and he to a series of a tenuous relationships. When they are forced confront an unspeakable tragedy, they must navigate their complicated feelings of guilt, relief, and grief."
