Theresa Rebeck, best known as an award-winning playwright of works including Broadway's recent Bernhardt/Hamlet, will make her NYC directorial debut with Working Theater's world premiere of Dropping Gumballs on Luke Wilson by Rob Ackerman (Tabletop). The production will run at the A.R.T./ New York Theatres' Mezzanine Theatre June 11-July 6.

Dropping Gumballs on Luke Wilson is inspired by a true, little-known story about the making of an iconic TV commercial in which a legendary film director puts a movie star's life in the hands of a very jittery props guy.

Featured in the cast are Jeremy Webb (The Visit), Dean Nolen (Mamma Mia!), and David Wohl (Fiddler on the Roof). Additional casting will be announced later.

The show's design team includes Christopher and Justin Swader (set design) and Mary Ellen Stebbins (lighting design). Additional design credits will also be announced later.
