Emmy winner Renée Taylor (The Nanny) will return to the New York stage this summer in her new autobiographical comedy My Life on a Diet. The play will begin performances Thursday, July 12, with opening night set for July 25 at the Theatre at St. Clement's. The run will conclude on August 19.

My Life on a Diet looks at Taylor's experiences as a self-described "diet junkie," and shares juicy anecdotes and weight loss tips from Hollywood legends like Marilyn Monroe and Marlon Brando. The play is cowritten and directed by Taylor's late husband, Joseph Bologna.

Taylor's Broadway credits include Luv, Agatha Sue, I Love You, and her and Bologna's plays Lovers and Other Strangers, It Had to Be You, and If you ever leave me…I'm going with you! Onscreen, she's best known for her performance as Sylvia Fine in The Nanny, as well as her performance as Eva Braun in the original 1968 version of The Producers. She and Bologna received an Emmy for their television special Acts of Love and Other Comedies.

Presented by Julian Schlossberg, My Life on a Diet has set design by Harry Feiner, lighting design by Stefanie Risk, and sound design by Jay Risk.
