Anne Nelson's September 11-themed drama The Guys will return to New York for a limited run, from January 20-23, at the Davenport Theatre. The production will honor the 150th anniversary of the New York Fire Department and Father Mychal Judge, OFM, the first certified fatality in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. It will benefit the Lt. Joseph G. Leavey Foundation.

The two-character drama will star Renee Claire Bergeron as Joan and William Mulligan as Captain Nick Flanagan. The Guys is set less than two weeks after the events of September 11, 2001, and explores the relationship between a writer and a fire captain who has lost most of his men from the attacks. Hannah Ryan will direct the production.

The Guys premiered in December 2001 at the Flea Theater and originally starred Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver. This run marks the initial offering of Bear Back Brooke Productions, a new company which endeavors to promote healing through theatrical and musical performances.
