Honest Accomplice Theater's The Birds and the Bees: Unabridged will return to the Tank for an encore engagement, following a sold-out run in July.

Through dialogue, movement, song, humor, and multimedia, the performance piece examines such themes as partner communication, sexual identity, the desexualization of aging women, today's "hook-up" culture, and sexual health. The show explores the unique yet interwoven life circumstances of eight women and trans people forced to confront their own sexuality.

"We want people to know that others out there recognize the complexity of modern female and transsexuality, and to feel comfortable in challenging the conceptions society often defines for them," said Honest Accomplice Theatre founders Maggie Keenan-Bolger and Rachel Sullivan.

The cast features Ashleigh Awusie, Maybe Burke, Jenne Carey, Ruth Cooper, Meggan Dodd, Cat Fisher, Molly Gallagher, Jordan Ho, Stephanie Mallick, E. Okobi, Julia Osen Averill, Mary Parker, Riti Sachdeva, Holly Sansom, and Aubrey Seader.
