Stephen Karam's acclaimed new play The Humans, directed by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello, will extend its run by one week at Roundabout Theatre Company's Laura Pels Theatre. Performances will now run through January 3, 2016.

The Humans follows Erik (played by Tony nominee Reed Birney), who has broken with tradition and brought his Pennsylvania family to celebrate Thanksgiving at his daughter's apartment in lower Manhattan. As darkness falls, family tensions reach a peak, and the heart and horrors of the clan are exposed. Cassie Beck, Jayne Houdyshell, Lauren Klein, Arian Moayed, and Sarah Steele complete the cast.

As previously announced, the off-Broadway company will transfer to Broadway in early 2016, with Scott Rudin serving as lead producer. Dates and theater are yet to be announced.
