Soho Repertory Theatre has announced a second extension for its run of Anne Washburn’s 10 out of 12. Performances will now run through July 11 after previously announcing July 5 as its closing date. Directed by Les Waters, 10 out of 12 began performances on May 26 in advance of a June 10 opening.

Based on notes that Washburn took during her past technical rehearsals, 10 out of 12 takes place backstage during a technical rehearsal, re-creating the multilayered experience of designers mixing cues, backstage gossip happening over headset, and actors passing the time while the director struggles to contain the uncontainable. As these activities unfold simultaneously, the audience is given an intimate glimpse into the flurry of life that surrounds the act of theater making.

The 14-member ensemble includes Quincy Tyler Bernstine as Stage Manager, Jeff Biehl as E3, Gibson Frazier as Ben and Charles, Rebecca Hart as Costumes, Nina Hellman as Siget, Old Lady, and Lucille, Sue Jean Kim as Eva and Marie, Bruce McKenzie as Director, Garrett Neergaard as E2, Bray Poor as Sound, David Ross as Jake and Richard, Thomas Jay Ryan as Paul and Carstairs, Conrad Schott as Assistant Director, Wendy Rich Stetson as Lights, and Leigh Wade as Jamie (ASM).
