Signature Theatre has welcomed a new cast member to Stephen Adly Guirgis's Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train, directed by Mark Brokaw. Sean Carvajal will now take on the role of Angel Cruz, replacing Victor Rasuk, who has departed the production due to personal circumstances.

Performances are suspended through October 14 at 2pm. Opening night remains October 23, and the run continues though November 12.

In Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train, Angel Cruz is a 30-year-old bicycle messenger awaiting trial for the death of the leader of a religious cult. Inside Rikers Island, a terrified Angel is befriended by a charismatic serial killer named Lucius Jenkins. Lucius has found God and been born again, and now, Angel's life and the course of his trial will be changed forever.

The company also includes Erick Betancourt (Julius Caesar) as Charlie D’Amico, Ricardo Chavira (Desperate Housewives) as Valdez, Stephanie DiMaggio (A Confederacy of Dunces) as Mary Jane Hanrahan, and Edi Gathegi as Lucius Jenkins.
