The cast and creative team of MCC Theater's upcoming New York premiere of Ride the Cycolone met the press at their rehearsal studio on October 6. The production runs November 9-December 18 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.

The third musical in MCC's 30-year history, Ride the Cyclone features book, music, and lyrics by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell. The musical made its U.S. premiere in 2015 at Chicago Shakespeare Theater under the direction and choreography of Rachel Rockwell, who returns for the MCC production.

The story is described as follows: "The Saint Cassian High School Chamber Choir will board the Cyclone roller coaster at 8:17pm. At 8:19 the front axle will break, sending them to their tragic demise. A mechanical fortune teller invites each to tell the story of a life interrupted — with the promise of a prize like no other."
