Paula Vogel's Indecent Opens at Vineyard Theatre

The new drama is directed by Rebecca Taichman.

The Vineyard Theatre celebrated Paula Vogel's new play Indecent on May 15. The New York engagement is presented in association with La Jolla Playhouse and Yale Repertory Theatre.

Cocreated and directed by Rebecca Taichman, the new play with music is inspired by the controversial Broadway debut of Sholem Asch's 1923 play God of Vengeance. Some saw it as a seminal work of Jewish culture, and others as an act of traitorous libel. Vogel's play features music composed by Lisa Gutkin and Aaron Halva, with choreography by David Dorfman.

The company is made up of Katrina Lenk (Once), Mimi Lieber (Act One), Max Gordon Moore (Relatively Speaking), Tom Nelis (The Visit), Steven Rattazzi (The Fourth Sister), Richard Topol (Fish in the Dark), and Adina Verson (Him).
