Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Colin Woodell Preview Christopher Shinn's Dying City

The Second Stage Theatre production begins performances May 14.

The company of Christopher Shinn's Dying City met the press at Second Stage Theatre on May 7. Directed by the playwright, the production begins previews May 14 at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theater, with opening set for June 3.

The two-member company is made up of Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Colin Woodell. Dying City is set in a sparse Manhattan apartment, where a young widow receives an unexpected visit from the twin brother of her deceased husband. The work is described as exploring "the human fallout of global events, including the Iraq War and the terrorist attacks of 9/11, through the interwoven stories of three unforgettable characters."

The full creative team for Dying City includes scenic design by Dane Laffrey, costume design by Kaye Voyce, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, and sound design by Bray Poor.
