The Playwrights Horizons production of 2015 Pulitzer Prize finalist Marjorie Prime celebrated its opening night on December 14. Written by Jordan Harrison, the production, directed by Anne Kauffman, runs through January 3.

In Marjorie Prime, it’s the age of artificial intelligence, and 86-year-old Marjorie has a handsome new companion who's programmed to feed the story of her life back to her. The play explores "the mysteries of human identity and the limits — if any — of what technology can replace."

The cast features Noah Bean, Lisa Emery, Stephen Root, and Drama Desk Award winner Lois Smith, who will reprise her role in the upcoming film adaptation of Marjorie Prime, written and directed by Michael Almereyda.
