Jennifer Ikeda and Cast of Today Is My Birthday Set for Opening Night

Page 73 Productions world premiere production of Susan Soon He Stanton's Today Is My Birthday is currently in previews ahead of a December 7 opening night at the New Ohio Theatre. The production, directed by Kip Fagan is set to run through December 23. Check out photos from the comedy in the gallery below.
The cast features Jennifer Ikeda (Vietgone), Jonathan Brooks, Ugo Chukwu, Ron Domingo, Emily Kuroda, and Nadine Malouf (Oh My Sweet Land). The creative team will include Dane Laffrey (scenice design), Jessica Pabst (costume design), Jennifer Schriever (lighting design), Palmer Hefferan (sound design), and Alison Mantilla (props). Kara Kaufman will be the stage manager, with Justin Myhre assistant stage amanger.
Today Is My Birthday follows Emily, a would-be writer, who retreats home to O'ahu after Manhattan finally gets the best of her. When she stumbles into a gig as an actor on a shock-jock radio dating show, she finds herself strangely determined to turn fantasy into reality. The story is told through phone calls, voicemails, and live radio spots.
