First Look at The Book of Merman

New photos of The Book of Merman have been released. The show, currently running at St. Luke's Theatre, features music and lyrics by Leo Schwartz and a book by Schwartz and D.C. Cathro. The Book of Merman runs through December 30.

Featuring direction from Joe Langworth and musical direction from Aaron Benham, The Book of Merman is described as follows: "Two Mormon missionaries ring the doorbell of Ethel Merman and hilarity ensues in this new musical comedy. The Book of Merman is a diva-driven journey featuring original songs and show-stopping ballads."

The Book of Merman stars Carly Sakolove as Ethel, Kyle Ashe Wilkinson as Elder Braithwaite, and Chad Burris as Elder Shumway. Julie Sommer Peterson and Casey Martin Klein are the show's understudies. The creative team includes Josh Iacovelli (scenic and lighting design), Pablo Borges (costume design), Raymond Schilke (sound design), and Bobbie Pinz (wig design). Tracey Woolley is the production stage manager, and Craig M. Rosenthal the assistant stage manager.
