Cheryl Katz will direct Craig Alan Edwards’ The Man in Room 306, to run January 15 – February 14 at 59E59 Theaters. Edwards will star in this one-man piece about Dr. Martin Luther King.

Room takes place in Memphis on April 3, 1968. In the play, Edwards imagines how King might have been struggling with himself, his future, and the way in which his non-violent movement had been shadowed by the rise of Black Power on the eve of the day on which his life would end.

The creative team will include Charlie Corcoran (scenic design), Jill Nagle (lighting design), and Andy Cohen (sound design).
