David Rhodes' Consent Opens Off-Broadway
The drama stars Mark McCullough Thomas, Michael Goldstein, Catherine Curtin, and Angela Pierce.
Consent, a new play written and directed by David Rhodes, celebrated its opening night at the Black Box Theatre at The Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre on June 11.
"Ron Sullivan, former pro-NFL player and award-winning architect, is experimenting with sexual freedom in his SoHo loft. Done with coming out and nearly divorced from his high school sweetheart, Ron has a chance encounter with Kurt, a hot Yale law student, that pushes him to the edge of his sexual boundaries...or beyond them. The passion that follows transforms both men, and ripples into the lives of Ron's wife and his sister Emily. Emily questions the ethics and risks of sex games, but it's ultimately up to the audience to determine who is seducing whom in the murky realm of power play and consent."
The cast of Consent includes Catherine Curtin, Michael Goldstein, Angela Pierce, and Mark McCullough Thomas.
