Kerry Butler and the Stars of Clinton the Musical Celebrate Opening Night

The new tuner explores the politics behind the presidency of Bill Clinton.

The stars of Clinton The Musical celebrated their opening night at New World Stages on April 9. Directed by Dan Knechtges, the production began performances on March 25.

Written by Paul Hodge and Michael Hodge, Clinton The Musical follows Bill and Hillary Clinton on their quest to save the presidency after a major scandal. The cast includes Kerry Butler (Hillary Rodham Clinton), Tom Galantich (WJ Clinton), Duke Lafoon (Billy Clinton), Judy Gold (Eleanor Roosevelt), John Treacy Egan (Newt Gingrich), Veronica Kuehn (Monica Lewinsky), Kevin Zak (Kenneth Starr) Kara Guy, and Dale Hensley.

The show premiered at the New York Musical Theatre Festival and has since been further developed. Kari Lynn Hearn of CoolChic Productions and executive producer Ken Davenport produce. The creative team for Clinton The Musical includes Tony winner Beowulf Boritt (scenic design), David Woolard (costume design), and Peter Fitzgerald (sound design).

Kevin Zak, Veronica J. Kuehn, Tom Galantich, Duke  Lafoon, Kerry Butler, Judy Gold, Dale Hensley, Kara Guy, and John Treacy Egan make up the cast of Clinton the Musical.
