Second Stage Theater has announced a new addition to its 40th anniversary 2018-19 season: the New York premiere of Bess Wohl's Make Believe, which will begin previews in early August and open later that month. Michael Greif will direct. The complete cast and creative team will be announced at a later date.

Make Believe is described as follows: "When does real life collide with make believe? For the four Conlee kids, ages 5 to 10, playing house is no longer a game when their parents inexplicably disappear. Thirty-two years later, their search for answers continues."

Wohl's most recent production with Second Stage was American Hero in 2014. Greif has directed Next to Normal, Boys' Life, Dear Evan Hansen, and A Parallelogram for the company.
