Be More Chill Extends After Selling Out Off-Broadway Run

You now have another week to catch this new musical by Joe Iconis and Joe Tracz.

The off-Broadway premiere of Be More Chill has been extended through September 30 at the Perhsing Square Signature Center. The sold-out engagement was scheduled to conclude on September 23.

Featuring music and lyrics by Joe Iconis and a book by Joe Tracz, the show is described as follows: "Jeremy Heere is your average, nothing-special teenager at Middleborough High in nothing-special New Jersey…until the day he finds out about 'The Squip.' Thus begins a journey that pits Jeremy's desire to be popular against his struggle to remain true to his authentic self."

Directed by Stephen Brackett and choreographed by Chase Brock, Be More Chill features Gerard Canonico (Spring Awakening) as Rich, Katlyn Carlson (Dirty Dancing) as Chloe, Stephanie Hsu (SpongeBob SquarePants) as Christine, Tiffany Mann (Waitress) as Jenna, Lauren Marcus (The Humans at St. Louis Rep) as Brooke, George Salazar (Tick, Tick…BOOM!) as Michael, Will Roland (Dear Evan Hansen) as Jeremy, Britton Smith (Shuffle Along) as Jake, Jason Tam (If/Then) as The Squip, and Jason SweetTooth Williams (Freaky Friday) as Jeremy's Dad and Mr. Reyes. Cameron Bond, Troy Iwata, and Talia Suskauer are the company swings.
