Playwrights Horizons has announced a two-week extension for the world premiere of Adam Bock's A Life, directed by Anne Kauffman. Performances will now run through November 27, beyond the previously announced November 13 closing date. Previews are set to begin September 30 in advance of an October 24 opening.

Tony and Emmy winner David Hyde Pierce heads the cast as Nate Martin, a man who turns to the stars after his most recent breakup casts him into a funk. Poring over astrological charts, he obsessively questions his past and his place in the cosmos. Joining him in the ensemble are Marinda Anderson, Brad Heberlee, Nedra McClyde, and Lynne McCollough.

The production's creative team will feature scenic design by Laura Jellinek, costume design by Jessica Pabst, lighting design by Matt Frey, and sound design by Mikhail Fiksel. The production stage manager will be Erin Gioia Albrecht.
