Kathleen Chalfant, Richard Easton, Kate Turnbull to Star in Painting Churches

Kate Turnbull will join the previously reported Kathleen Chalfant and Richard Easton in Tina Howe’s Painting Churches, to be presented by Keen Company at The Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row, February 14-April 22, with an opening on March 6. Carl Forsman will direct.

The play centers on the Church family: Fanny (Chalfant) and Gardner (Easton) are packing, about to move to a beach home on Cape Cod. Gardner is a poet and Fanny is from a “fine old family.” Their daughter Margaret (Turnbull), an artist who lives in New York, has arrived to help them pack and paint their portrait.

Turnbull was featured in the Off-Broadway production of Sarah Ruhl’s Passion Play, with regional credits including Maple and Vine,The Matchmaker, Doubt, Measure for Measure, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Restoration Comedy,Titus Andronicus and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
