The New Brunswick Cultural Center, George Street Playhouse, and six other New Brunswick arts organizations have joined together for "Hub City Our Town," a four-month-long celebration of the city's arts and community. The New Brunswick Community Arts Council, the American Repertory Ballet, Crossroads Theatre Company, CoLab Arts, the Rutgers Film Co-op/New Jersey Media Arts Center, and the New Brunswick Free Library will offer a roster of events, culminating in the George Street Playhouse production of Our Town, which will close out its 2013-14 season.

The production will mark the start of a theatrical partnership between the playhouse and Mason Gross School of the Arts, incorporating professional actors and graduating students from the Mason Gross acting program. Running from April 22-May 25, Our Town will be helmed by Broadway director and Chair of the Mason Gross School of the Arts Department of Theatre David Esbjornson.

Each of the local events leading up to the production will complement the play's themes and highlight the history and cultural offerings in the city of New Brunswick.
