Andre Braugher, Frankie Faison, et al. Set for Luna Stage Benefit Reading of King Lear

Andre Braugher will star in the title role of Shakespeare’s King Lear in a special benefit reading of the play at Luna Stage Company in West Orange, New Jersey. Rob Clare will direct the performances, which will be presented Saturday, January 7 at 7pm and Sunday, January 8 at 5pm.

The cast will also feature Ami Brabson, Suzzanne Douglas, and Frankie Faison.

Braugher received Emmy Awards for Homicide: Life on the Streets and Thief, and earned his sixth Emmy nomination this year for the TNT series Men of a Certain Age. He won an Obie Award for his performance in the 1996 Shakespeare in the Park production of Henry V, with other New York stage credits including The Whipping Man, Hamlet, The Tragedy of Richard II, Measure for Measure, and Twelfth Night.
