The Old Vic’s production of Alan Ayckbourn’s trilogy The Norman Conquests is now in previews at Circle in the Square. The company’s artistic director, Oscar and Tony Award winner Kevin Spacey, was on hand for a recent meet-and-greet.

Oscar winner Ethan Coen’s new trilogy of one-act plays Offices bows at the Atlantic Theater on April 15 with F. Murray Abraham, Mary McCann, and Joey Slotnick among its celebrated cast.
Also on April 15, the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, New Jersey unveils a new production of the beloved musical 1776. James Barbour, who graced Broadway earlier this season in A Tale of Two Cities, portrays Edward Rutledge.
Barbour’s Tale co-star Kevin Earley plays Thomas Jefferson, the lovely Lauren Kennedy plays Martha Jefferson, and stage favorite Robert Cuccioli plays John Dickinson.
On April 3, the New York Pops presented a salute to the great Broadway composer Charles Strouse (center). Among the evening’s many illustrious performers were Mary Poppins star Rebecca Luker and Stephen Bogardus, who appeared on Broadway earlier this year in Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.
The wonderful Karen Mason and Tony winner Debbie Gravitte joined Pops conductor Martin Yates for this special tribute.
Bob Martin, best known for his award-winning work in The Drowsy Chaperone, offered a toast to the festivities.
On April 6, the cast of the hit Broadway revival of West Side Story, including stars Matt Cavenaugh and Josefina Scaglione, went into the recording studio to make the show’s soon-to-be-released cast album.

On the evening of April 6, the new musical The Toxic Avenger opened at New World Stages. Posing after the performance were stars Nick Cordero and Sara Chase, who play unlikely lovers Melvin (aka Toxie) and Sarah.
