Vital Children’s Theatre Seeks Stories by New York Kids

| New York City |

April 15, 2003

The OOBR Award-winning Vital Children’s Theatre has announced that its 2003-2004 season will kick off with a new musical for kids, written by kids. To achieve this, the theater is seeking as many stories as possible — of any length, and about any subject — written by New York City area students, from kindergarten through grade 5.

All submissions will be read and considered, though not every story can be realized in the final production. Submissions are due June 1. They should be sent to Vital Theatre Company, Attn: Director of Children’s Theater, 432 West 42nd Street, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10036-6812 or e-mailed to kids@vitaltheatre.org.

The production will begin performances on Saturday, October 11 and will run through November 16. For additional information, phone 212-268-2040 or visit the website www.vitaltheatre.org.
