New York Shakespeare Exchange has announced casting for the next two installments of its Apocrypha Now! concert reading series, to be offered May 15 – May 23 at Urban Stages.

The company will be presenting readings of Mucedorus, a bucolic comedy/romance from the Elizabethan period, which may have been written by Shakespeare, as well as the Bard’s farcical look at the events surround two pairs of twins’ convergence on the same town, The Comedy of Errors. Ross Williams will direct the plays, which will be offered in rotating repertory.

The readings will feature Shane Breaux, Kevin Brewer, AJ Cedeño, Emily Demko, Zoë Frazer, Vince Gatton, Adam Kern, Aaron Kotte, Richard Price, Katherine Puma, and Leigh Williams.

Each performance is followed by a talkback with New York scholars.
