New York public television station WNET, Channel 13, will present the film version of Irving Berlin’s hit musical Annie Get Your Gun, starring Betty Hutton, along with a special interview with singer and music historian Michael Feinstein, on Saturday, November 26 at 9pm.
The presentation is part of WNET’s Reel 13 series of double-bills, which are hosted by film historian Neal Gabler and Richard Pena, Program Director of the Film Society of Lincoln Center.
Other selections in November include Robert Aldrich’s Kiss Me Deadly (November 5), Michael Almereyda’s film version of Hamlet starring Ethan Hawke (November 5), Brian De Palma’s Dressed to Kill (November 12), George Clooney’s Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Norman Jewison’s Moonstruck (November 19), Joseph Infantolino’s Helena from the Wedding, and Stephen Frears’ Dirty Pretty Things (November 26).
