The Eastern Region Equal Employment Opportunity Committee of Actors’ Equity Association and ReImagined World Entertainment are set to present a free concert reading of Jason Ma’s Gold Mountain, May 21 at 7pm in Hunter College’s Lang Recital Hall. Christine Toy Johnson will direct, with musical direction by Michael Larsen.
Presented in celebration of Asian Heritage Month, Gold Mountain is the story of the Chinese men who came to California in search of a better life for their families, to build the Central Pacific Railroad.
The cast will feature Raymond J. Lee, Ali Ewoldt, Alan Ariano, Steven Eng, Whitney Kam Lee, Paolo Montalban, Buzz Roddy, David Shih, Hansel Tan, Andrew Eisenman, Joshua Dela Cruz, Dan Edwards, Brian Jose and Jake Manabat.
Production design will be by Bruce Alan Johnson.
