Stage and screen star Ralph Fiennes, along with director David Cronenberg, will be presented with BFI Fellowships at 55th BFI London Film Festival. The awards will be presented in a ceremony to be held at LSO St Luke’s on October 26.
Fiennes received a Tony Award for his performance in Hamlet and a Tony nomination for his work in The Faith Healer. In addition, he was nominated for Academy Awards for his roles in The English Patient and Schindler’s List. Among his numerous other film credits are turns as Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter movies, as well as his soon-to-be-released film version of Shakespeare’s Coriolanus and the in-production new James Bond movie, directed by Sam Mendes.
