PHOTO FLASH: Matthew Broderick, Ronald K. Brown, Christopher Gattelli, Kathleen Marshall at Astaire Awards Nomination Reception

Nominations for the 30th Fred & Adele Astaire Awards were announced on Monday, May 7 by New York Post Theater columnist Michael Riedel at a reception at the historic Lamb’s Club. The awards will be presented at a ceremony at New York University’s Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, on Monday, June 4.

As previously reported, the Broadway musical Newsies leads the field with 7 nominations.

Among those in attendance at the reception were nominees Matthew Broderick, Ronald K. Brown, Christopher Gattelli, Bahiyah Hibah, and Kathleen Marshall, as well as three-time Tony Award-nominated producer Kathleen Raitt, who will receive a special award in recognition of her helping found The Astaire Awards in 1982.
