The third annual
Broadway in South Africa benefit concert was held at Manhattan Center’s Grand Ballroom on Monday, October 4 at 7:30pm.
The event, which honored producer Michael Butler, was directed by Jen Bender with music direction by Brad Haak. It featured a host of Broadway performers debuting new songs based on essays and letters written by children.
Among the evening’s performers and presenters were Lance Bass, Chuck Cooper, Deborah Cox, Brandon Victor Dixon, Ariana Grande, Frankie James Grande, Emma Hunton, Adam Kantor, Jose Llana, Julia Murney, Graham Phillips, Alice Ripley, Lisa Nicole Wilkerson, and Sandra Thurman, AIDS Czar under President Bill Clinton and current President and CEO of International AIDS Trust.
