Broadway in Bryant Park 2010 opened with performances by cast members from Broadway’s
Promises, Promises and
In The Heights, as well as Off-Broadway’s
Nunsense and
Stomp
Promises, Promises cast members took the stage to perform “I Say a Little Prayer,” “Where Can You Take A Girl,” and “I’ll Never Fall In Love Again.” Members of the In The Heights cast sang “It Won’t Be Long Now,” “When You’re Home,” and “96,000.” The Little Sisters of Hoboken brought three selections from Nunsense, including “Nunsense is Habit Forming,” “The Drive-In,” and “Holier Than Thou.” The cast of Stomp shared a dose of their rhythmic prowess as well.
The series will continue with performers from The Phantom of the Opera, Billy Elliot, Memphis, South Pacific, and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular (July 15); Chicago, A Little Night Music, Falling for Eve, and Rock of Ages (July 22); The Lion King, The Addams Family, Wicked, and Next to Normal (July 29); Avenue Q, Fela!, and Million Dollar Quartet (August 5); and Mamma Mia!, American Idiot, La Cage Aux Folles, West Side Story, and Mary Poppins (August 12).
