Cast members from the Broadway production of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark attended a party on Thursday, April 19 held in honor of its Everyday Heroes, an initiative that the production began in September 2011 to honor “Everyday Heroes” in New York for their contributions to the community.
Honorees are invited to see the show and come backstage after the performance to meet the cast. The production also makes a donation to the Honoree’s favorite charity. Everyday heroes at the party included Brendan McMorrow, Jacqueline Morelli, Diane Pagan, and Jackie Shaw. Also in attendance were director Phil McKinley and cast members Rebecca Faulkenberry, Christina Sajous, and Matthew James Thomas.
Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, which performs at the Foxwoods Theatre, is inspired by over 40 years of Marvel comic books. It follows the story of teenager Peter Parker, whose unremarkable life is turned upside-down when he’s bitten by a genetically altered spider and must learn that with great powers comes great responsibility.
