PHOTO FLASH: Alicia Keys, Mekhi Phifer, Tracie Thoms, et al. at Press Event for Broadway’s Stick Fly

Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys joined the cast and creative team of Lydia R. Diamond’s Stick Fly for a press event at the Hard Rock Café on Thursday, October 20. The production will begin previews at Broadway’s Court Theatre on November 18, in anticipation of an official opening on December 8.

Directed by Kenny Leon, Stick Fly is a portrait of an upper class African American family vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard and explores parental expectations, sibling rivalry, and issues of class and race. The company will feature Rosie Benton, Dulé Hill, Mekhi Phifer, Tracie Thoms, Ruben Santiago-Hudson and Condola Rashad.

As previously reported, Keys is one of the producers of the show, and is also composing original music for the production.
